We are pleased to announce the revised and enhanced International Travel Insurance for Pula Medical Aid Fund (PULA) members on the Executive and Deluxe Benefit Options as follows;
- Silver Package for up to 31 days per travel worth P 1 Million for Lesotho, South Africa, Namibia & eSwatini
- Gold Package for up to 31 days’ worth P25 Million for the rest of the world please note that members have to inform the Pula Medical Aid Fund before travel by completing the Travel Insurance Form here.
This revised structure of the Pulamed International Travel Insurance moves away from the initially provided one which offered a P2 Million cover regardless of region.
The Pulamed International Travel Insurance is a product designed to cover the costs and reduce the risk associated with unexpected events during international travel. The Travel Insurance mainly covers the insured in two main categories: costs associated with medical expenses and trip cancellations lost luggage, flight accident and other losses.
The offering is still administered and underwritten by Botswana Insurance Company (BIC), a reputable short-term insurance provider based in Botswana and the product is still only available to Pulamed Members on the Executive and Deluxe Benefit Options.
